Default ACPI problem on Ubuntu 9.10

    Hi,

I queried a shutdown trouble with Karmic recently (i.e. computer hangs at shutdown plus have to power off physically). As subsequent answer:

This is a bug in ACPI; it will be set very quickly, sorry for the
    nuisance.

Somebody with a few ideas when this can be fixed please?

    Regards,

I recommend you test the bug logs. If the system is a laptop you might want to look for its model in conjunction with Ubuntu to make out if somebody has posted a how-to on getting Ubuntu kind on your system.
