When i run a live cd (Ubuntu 8.10), i can make out the language choice screen along with options screen (run without installing / install now and etc). If i select first option it will run codes as well as illustrate a BLANK SCREEN but i can hear the booting sound. I tried to set up openly from disc (by selecting the install now option) devoid of running the live cd but the similar result. I checked disc in other systems. Disc is operational very well. (i installed my friend's hp system that is working fine) I am using Lenovo G550 BAQ laptop. Intel dual core/SATA 250GB hard disk /2GB ram DDR3/NVIDIA Display/15.6”(39.6Cms) WXGA LED backlit Display.

I don’t make out how to set up Ubuntu in my laptop. Do i need some driver for this? Please help me to repair this.
