Thread: Change Ubuntu Desktop from DHCP to a Static IP Address

It’s very simple to reconfigure your system to use a static IP address with the GUI Network Settings dialog.
To open the program, go to System >> Administration >>Networking

You will notice your network adapter in the list. Click the Properties button, and you will observe this dialog:


Just change the drop-down box to Static IP address, and after that set in your static settings.
