If current partitions take space and you can’t make new partitions, then Edit and change partition size. Swap partition utilized by Linux to share data when RAM is not sufficient to keep in memory all applications. Size of swap partition must be two times of RAM. Though it is not needed to make swap partition, this is suggested except there are good reasons not to do, particularly if PC has less than 1 GB RAM.
To create partition for Linux Mint, be certain to assign 10 GB or extra disk space. Also allocate to mount point and choose ext4 as file system. After all partitions are in place, choose mount point for them. Mount points signify their place in file system where these partitions are visible in Linux Mint.
