Thread: Should Extractor for Linux

I want extractor for Ubuntu as I have files in mail which are in compressed form. I used WinRar to decompressing those files but unable to do for all files. I want software which extracts any kind of compressed file format. So please tell me any universal extractor and detail information about it.

There are many archive formats like zip, rar, tar, tar.bz, bzip, ace, etc. And sadly there are rare programs that decompress all kinds of archive. Here is E which takes in only 80 lines of Ruby code, no require to store quantities of commands to unpack archive.
