Open the folder include the file you want compressed into a zip file. The skill to zip files in the Linux operating system is constructs in to the consumer interface. Hold "Ctrl" and hit on each file you want zipped in order to highlight it. Right-click on the chosen files and selects "Compress." Name the file in the "Filename" box and press on the drop-down menu to the right. Select ".zip" as the file extension. Press on the "Location" drop-down menu and select where you want the zip files saved. Press "Create" and it zips the files into one compressed file.
