Thread: Keyboard and Mouse not effective in Ubuntu Linux

I had to switch to Linux, but the keyboard or mouse I was using not working. I tried the computer with PS/2 and USB keyboard and mice, but the same thing happen. The system says that restricted drivers had been blocked. I'm known that it was showing an option to unblock them, but the keyboard and mouse doesn't work. Please let me know if there is any inbuilt method to overcome the issue. Thanks in advanced.

There are several updates which are already out. Try to update your Ubuntu. Possibly you will be able to sort this bug off. Also check if there is no graphics problem, try to take out the graphics card if any and after that try installing Ubuntu again.

According to me it is kernel related problem. This error was posted on Ubuntu's support website and there people have successfully fix this issue by downgrading their Ubuntu computer to a previous kernel. The kernel 2.6.28-r13 is working perfectly.
