Cost is still the largest motivating factor in moving to Linux. While Linux isn't free for 5MBs from a practical stand¬point, it certainly has the potential to run far less expensively than a comparable Windows-based network.

But you'll need to have a handle on what you're currently spending to compare it accurately with the Penguin. That means considering not just server software costs but also client access licenses, update and maintenance fees, internal staffing, and outsourced administration fees.
