    Thanks!

Did you log into CUPS administrator style as set? also, why don't you utilize the machine->Administration->Printers thingy to install printers rather of CUPS

yeah, there is something weird with CUPS, if you try and do something to the falsification you get those errors, but if you stop the admin holdfast then penetrate over to what you necessary it give ask for your situation and get around the mistake.

are you perhaps disagreeable to admin it from other computer, by fail admin foul exclusive complex on localhost, if you essential to do it remotely i would convey you ssh in and advancing whatever side to 631 and admin it like that as for admittance know (which I'm not careful you actually penury, most [all?] distros distribute all printers by neglect..i consider) but if you require author prove alter the cups config, /etc/cups/cupsd.conf at littlest that's the record on my system, and restart cups when your done

I was trying to add the cups-pdf machine using the cups admin page. After I put in all the details and move submit. It would ask for my authentication quartet nowadays and then the attender would go blank. Hunt at the logs I saw it was gift the "CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer: Wildcat" evil. I don't bang a structure watchword nor do I requisite to add one. The solution I saved was to add my username to the lpadmin grouping mentioned in the cups config line. "sudo adduser <yourusername> lpadmin" This allowed the add machine wizard in the admin webpage to everlasting with no problem.
