Hello friends, I am having a Dell PowerEdge R210 server. I have study about its better action and sympathy which led me to get it. I also looked up with the dell about its action and they told me that it is very authentic. But now I am having few trouble with the set up. When I try to set up Linux (Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11.0) running system I fail to do so. After operating CD machine management Tools and Documents, I cannot find running system.
Dell PowerEdge R210 delivers great action. I am also having the similar, but non had such trouble. There can be few other way to set up Suse Linux Enterprise Server on the unit. I guess there should not be any matter with the former copy of SMTD set up disk. With the Dell PowerEdge R210 you can put in an array via controller and then try to boot with the SLES disk.
The former edition of the SMTD set up disk doesn’t have SLES11. if you have preference apply the SMTD disk route, then there is a on board tool which opeeration the similar as the SMTD disk. When the unit switches on you will get the choice for selecting machine Services by hitting F10. this choice is listed below BIOS when you press F2. When you get into the module you require to choice OS Deployment and then measure via the Menus to set up the running system.
I think you should not have any trouble in set up the SLES11 running machine unless you make any fault during the set up. When the Dell PowerEdge R210 powers on, then go to the BIOS module and then select machine Services. Here choice OS Deployment and you are finish with the SLES11 running system set up. One quarry is there in my mind about the HD controller you dictated for this unit.
If you are having trouble in set up Linux running machine into the R210 whole then just test out the F10 process observed by my friend I the over position. You will require the SMTD or dell ftp link if you do not have the IDRAC show or initiative. The BMC doesn’t have any constructed in woods and the IDRAC express and enterprise is choice. I don’t have the noesis about the HD restrainer you are apply.
Thank you entire for your type reply and meaningful idea. I just resolved the set up trouble for which I was not able to proceed more. I just powered on the PowerEdge R210 and select BIOS. From the BIOS I choice machine Services.
