Hello welcome to this forum, I just required to say that there are number of better support out there now. Ubuntu and many other fro Linux entire are get shipped on few laptops from OEM nowadays. But there also few smaller distribution which will operate for you are distros, PCLOS, eLive. As per my idea you must go with this Linux dual booting, but earlier performing it you must confirm will entire the characteristics of that tablet are supporting or not.

Hello, I also need to share one of my experience with you entire. I was also utilize dual booting with fedora 10 with XP tablet on HP. I first set up XP tablet and then set up fedora, it was operating fine. But I was obtaining few troubles in Wi-Fi and webcam, fedora was not operating right with it, after that I transferd on to Linux. From the time I have set up Linux dual boot with XP tablet, I have not yet trouble with anything.
