    Default Key problem with Ubuntu

    Hello, I have Ubuntu you will see I have changed the wifi key and I can not change because it appears to put a message. puts it: enter the password to unlock and key deposit "default" . What happens is that you get use to login and will not let me . I can do? This key is the worst in ubuntu.

    If I understand your problem, it is a problem with key escrow and you must do the following: You have to go to application "Passwords and Encryption Keys" (seahorse). In Debian are in: System - Preferences, but I think Ubuntu is in Applications - Accessories, look for it with a similar name. Sinuses in the terminal or by pressing ALT + F2 put "seahorse".


    Once inside, you'll have a password box that says "Password: login", well, right click on it and hit "Delete". Once done, go to File - New - Storage passwords. In the name of the new deposit put "login" and click Add, now you come out to set passwords or put a password and press OK, you asked if you want to use an unsafe tank, hit Use unsafe storage and restart, your problem should have disappeared.

    Hello, I did what you described, but the problem is telling me that there is already a login password deposit (and also other default), I asked for a password but not the be.

    I say that because you have to first delete the default login and deposit. And then re-create, as I explain in my previous post, sinuses is normal to not let you create it.
