    Default Portable Ubuntu overloaded me

I have Ubuntu on the laptop and everytime I use the fan to me and revolutionize computer heats plus the battery lasts far less than with windows. I would not worry if little, but it is hot like me when I play modern warfare 3 with all the best and I worry that it can cause damage. How I can fix it?

The theme of the battery, it is quite common in Ubuntu. In the section on Energy Manager, you have some options to maximize some of your battery life, such as lowering the rotation of the discs, to rest the screen when not in use, etc. For a discussion of the fans there is a default application in Ubuntu is used to control the issue of overclocking your PC, your PC probably is in Performance mode, using the processor cap (hence to be atop the fans). Put it on Ondemand mode or Conservative to use just enough of the processor. Also watch you do not have unnecessary processes at the beginning of the OS.

Yesterday I read a related story: The power consumption in notebooks will be optimized in Ubuntu 4.12 . The comments explain how to install it on previous Ubuntu.

In the section on battery only options I get when I close the lid or give it to the off button. What is the name give the application to change the CPU usage? When you say you can install it for the best use of the battery and story as it has gone. Thank you very much for the answers

The application to handle the issue of the CPU is an applet that it is the default when installing Ubuntu. At least if you use Ubuntu has Gnome 2.3 and not Unity.

Add Applet placing you in one of the toolbars and give right-click "Add to Panel". And look for the application "Monitor CPU frequency" When you have it, by clicking on it will allow you to underclock your CPU and put different types of processor modes.
