Thread: Slow Ubuntu 11.10

Hello, I lately set up Ubuntu on my laptop 11.10, the trouble is that it is exceedingly dumb for instance when I transfer a window. It remains as a means of suspension, and the windows are transfer to blows. I have a core 2 duo and nvidia 9600gt graphics is single, set up the nvidia woods and acceleration operate, but both with them and minus them is identical dumb. Somebody recognize what is due or if you can repair that somehow.

Open a terminal and type "top" to see that there is non that is consuming entire your central processing unit time. Can be due to vertical synchronism? But I have an AMD card not identical better i think that you have to invalid the ccsm (CompizFusion Configuration Management) and paragraph openGL

Well, not if there are troubles with the graphics speed up for 3D games operate good and others, but better in the last I exhausted Gnome3 the desktop is just as fine and if that goes good quick.

Hi, I am new member to Ubuntu, and a some days ago I set up the edition 11.10. I am idential happy so far, but I can feel a bit dumb, so I set up the desktop Gnome3 later reading your comment. The trouble is I do not recognize how to begin, because I downloaded it via the Ubuntu Software Center, but can not determine anywhere. I'd right if I can comment concisely on how to do it.
