I'm not talking about any graphical tools. To what source are we talking about? Determined by a PPA, right?

That it does. You have any sources to which package taken without the proper key. Can you imagine how certificates that identify trusted sources. If you take only one source without the key, complaining the update system. And since you think so far been returned with information, it is really hard to recommend something to you, except being subsequently install this key.

Nope, you gave me your interpretation, what is not there. When I type in Google LZMA what your only real info until now, the Lempel-Ziv-Markov algorithm is the first result, and an SDK as the second. Both have here not much point in both cases you were probably a programmer and knew what you do, you probably now says not a lot of both. What also is not bad, just to illustrate how your information was very helpful so far. You will have installed an additional repository (a repository, if you say the word more) without the necessary keys. Solution: install the key. The solution is as vague as your question because I simply can not say, without that you give me more information.
