Default Setup windows 7 on ubuntu.

Since the day I have purchased it, i have got ubuntu 10.10 set up by standard when I purchased it, i have windows seven os at my office, so now I want to have windows seven set up on my laptop. I am thinking of installing windows seven (32-bit) by overwriting the standard ubuntu 10.10 os, actually I was trying to install windows seven yesterday and there I found 4 partitions present on my hard drive, i am not a technical person.

Well as you have said that you want to set up windows 7 os on your laptop then I think you don't have anything to do with these categories. You can certainly go ahead and overwrite ubuntu 10.10 os, when you set up windows based pc on ubuntu then just format and delete all the categories present in the hard drive.

I believe that windows based pc does not have anything to do with ext4 structure categories, so before you try to overwrite windows os on ubuntu, create sure that you take a copy of all the data that you have in the categories, because when you will structure it, all the datas existing in all these categories will get missing.

As far as I know that the dell application partition which is of 41 mb contains diagnostics which you run during start-up, but it is not of very much significance, you can remove this partition, you can obtain the dell programs from the world wide web. You can get them from the formal web page of dell, just check out the website and get the individuals set up, once you obtain the individuals of dell, just create sure that you set up them.

Let me tell you that you can set up windows seven without any much concerns in thoughts, OS (5.4GB FAT) is actually the partition on which your ubuntu 10.10 os is set up, the last partition about which you are discussing is most apparently a substitute partition which is used for ubuntu 10.10.

I would like to say that if you want to set up the windows seven os then set up it without concerning about the categories, these categories have no connection with the os, after installing windows based pc you will find new categories. Once you set up windows seven on you program, try to set up wubi.exe file, this file will help you to use ubuntu also, it will provide you with two systems, you can use windows or ubuntu which ever you want but the default os will be the windows seven.
