Default File browser in ubuntu 10.10

Good the problem I want to format the partition esque of ubuntu, because it has a lot of shit, and there are several files that do not want to delete, but can not find, and I wondered if something like the windows, you put the name of what you want, and you leave the files with that name.

I think if only it is a separate program, look to see if the center piece of software comes out, LinuxMint, which is basically Ubuntu with another aspect, I've seen it already installed on the program list if I remember correctly, so also ubuntu should have it. Besides, what files looking for usually all user files are inside / home, in that folder and users have different directories (documents, music, pictures, downloads.

In 10.04 at least this in applications> accessories> search archivos, Elige search folder: File System, with GConf Cleaner + Cleaning Charge, cleanse lot of things, In addition to remains of things you've uninstalled: dpkg-l | awk '/ ^ rc / {print $ 2}' | xargs sudo dpkg – purge, Also choose to view hidden files to see you out there in Home.

You can always use Midnight Commander "MC" or Krusader, both in graphical environment.
