    Default Ubuntu 8.10 plus Raid 0

    Hi, so I tried from my Ubuntu 8.10 and installs in Windows with no problems however, I now have the problem that I can not boot Linux, i have plates from a Raid 0 2x 320GB Samsung. partitioned to C, D, E, F, G, I I do not Raid Sata but only for backup, on E: linux is installed with 30 GB, do I need to do there thing in the boot loader or how I do that I at least have a selection on boot?

    You should do what in the description, a detailed error message such as Grub loading stage 1.5 would be helpful for accurate dates on your wannabe RAID configuration (hardware / software) and for configuration of your bootloader on a partition or mbr would also help.

    Hi, do think that it is a hardware raid from the onboard Southbridge well yes, I get no error message, because I see nothing when booting, my computer boots directly into Vista clean, in MSCONFIG even Vista is nothing else in it.

    Then you can not boot probably because the mbr is nothing in it except activate the first plate, which is probably vista and then rushes over to your linux boot cd grub-install and perform .

    Since it was most likely the onboard RAID controller to a driver is, you had to work with dmraid, but so have no experience.
