There are so many if you are habituated to Ubuntu you may also test out a debian established then you must surely prefer which port to utilize us, mandriva is also identical light, but is established on redhat. Then you should make up for a second hand also with regard to the basic commands such as apt-get etc i also tried Fedora, but honestly i have never enjoyed it.

No, I was worried for your video card, which is worth honestly, already with win7 I go slow if I keep open 5 programs with aero so with ubuntu was perfect, went like the wind xD But since I am one who likes change, I wanted to try other distros. Evidently I would take those established on debian, then perhaps I could take the last debian static and put on to view how KDE runs, and then optimise and accumulate the kernel for my hardware config to squeeze few additional speed .

The latest debian stable is millennia old i suggest the current testing (squeeze), is very stable and I use it daily recognition is improved to die and programs are up to date as the Ubuntu 10.04 the penultimate, it was freezata for a while ', so we should be very close to release. Still, you should have no trouble with the power of your video card, if anyway, it must be told that the ATI wood is not that better there is a hazard that attain you a lilliputian crazy.
