Gigabyte Extreme X58

Hello I have been seeing many of you have this motherboard, and like I have problems or are giving problems with the bios which is very green, then went on to explain what they must do to achieve stability in this motherboard, I hope it is helpful:

Machine data for these values of Evidence:
CPU: Core i7 920 2.67 GHz @ 3200Mhz Default.
Motherboard: Gigabyte X58 Extreme.
RAM: A-Data G Series 3x2GB 9-9-9-24. (1600Mhz)

1 Download the latest BIOS (Updated):

2nd low and put the bios desconprimida in the root of a usb memory.

3 enter the bios as we all know pressing the Delete key

Option 4 Wanted puts Update:
Press F8 Q-Flash

5th save ours doing a backup and then we start to update the bios, once complete reboot the pc,

6 Once you restart press the Tab key and press Pause to see if the version we F5 to update the BIOS, you must put:

EX58-EXTREME F5

We continue to enter to the load

press the Delete key and enter the Bios, and now put the following:

1 Click the first option in the BIOS (MB Intelligent Teak (MII)

Within this menu to configure Asín:

Cpu Clock 20x

Here two options:

1 Option BCLK Frequency (MHz) 160 (Micro to 3200mhz)

ó

2nd Option BCLK Frequency (MHz) 133 (a 2.666mhz Micro)

Enhance Performance (Standard)

System Memory Multiplier (SPD) = 10.0 (Option 1)
(Ram Micro to 3200Mhz)

ó

System Memory Multiplier (SPD) = 12.0 (2nd Option)
(Ram Micro to 2666Mhz)

* Note BCLK = SPD x = 1600 MHZ.

* Note Latency = put in Manual and implement the values that
bring the memories recorded in the sink of them, eg in my case:

* Annotation sink in the report:
Cas Latency Timing: 9-9-9-24

Asin is:

Channel A
Cas Latency time --- 9
TRCD ----------- 9
TRP -------------- 9
THERE ------------ 24
COMMMAND RATE (CMD) Order

Channel B
Cas Latency time --- 9
TRCD ----------- 9
TRP -------------- 9
THERE ------------ 24
COMMMAND RATE (CMD) Order

Channel C
Cas Latency time --- 9
TRCD ----------- 9
TRP -------------- 9
THERE ------------ 24
COMMMAND RATE (CMD) Order

Name: Gigabyte Extreme X58, CPU 3.2 GHz or 2.66 GHz, Mem1600 Mhz..jpg
Views: 73
Size: 72.9 KB

Remain below and find the Voltage leave it like this:

Load-Line Calibration (Enabled)

Cpu Voltage = 1.12500V (Option 1, a Micro 3200Mhz)

ó

Cpu Voltage = 1.11875V (Option 2, Micro to 2666Mhz)

QPI / Ult Voltage = 1215V (Option 1, a Micro 3200Mhz)

ó

QPI / Ult Voltage = 1195V (Option 2, Micro to 2666Mhz)

QPI / Voltage Ult = (This value is responsible for the headache he has given us over to a vat where it will boot off the motherboard and instantly became a single turn)

and the section of Memory Voltage applied to our working memories, eg

* Annotation sink in the report:
Working Voltage: 1.65V ~ 1.85v

DRAM Voltage 1.58V (same for Option 3200Mhz or 2666Mhz)

1.58 V apply in this instance, I work well even if Voltage
a bit lower it says the manufacturer, (Out Voltage - heat)

Once all this again with the cursor a little above the Bios and do the following:

2nd Visit (CPU Advanced Features)

There will be several options, such as leaves then disable:

INTEL (IE) TURBO BOOST TEAM (DISABLE)

C3/C6/C7 STATE SUPPORT (DISABLE)
ENHANCED HALT CPU (DISABLE)
CPU THERMAL MONITOR (DISABLE)
CPU EIST Function (DISABLE)

Once this fact all the above back to the main menu
bios now but to set things in bios, by pressing the Esc key:

Enter now at:

Advanced Bios Features:

Enable this option:
HHD Capacabity SMART (Enabled.)
Uncheck the following:
Full Screen Logo Show (Disable).

Back to ESC.

Now enter this submenu:

Integrated peripherals:

Inside here activates two options that are very useful:

Enabled USB Keyboard Function
Enabled USB Mouse Function

Turning again (ESC)

and we enter the last option we are going to play:

PC Health Status

We configure it as follows;

CPU Warning Temperature: 60 º / 140 º F

CPU FAN FAIL (Enabled)
CPU SMART FAN CONTROL (Enabled)
CPU SMART FAN MODE (Voltage)

* Note: The other options (Disable)

Once this is all good because we get to the ESC to main menu of the Bios,
Now what will AREM Bookmark this custom in our Bios Settings, as follows:
Press the F11 key and then a menu, we name, eg CPU2666MEMO1600 We CPU3200MEMO1600 or to enter and exit the BIOS by pressing F10, if you say you want to exit saving changes (Y) and Enter, and Buale, and everything is configured and stable PC.

I hope you've enjoyed the guide, saludos.

you come out a good Micro .. 1.1va just see if this pace keeps you in if you upload more good explanation, and that the difference between V and QPI reports should not exceed 5

I made some changes to the configuration of computer for more stability, after making a test of stability I have found that it fell short of information is given and an error voltage, which solves Put now these voltages with this configuration:

Cpu Voltage = 1.12500V

QPI / Ult Voltage = 1.215 V

1.58V DRAM Voltage

Voltage increases have been minimal but again after passing the test, have been more than enough to not have given me back a blue screen if I did before I had the voltages posts, I decided to take the test because sometimes, very occasionally, I went the typical blue screen, and this moment is just the problem, greetings and hope you will help us all.

Here I leave a picture as it should be micro Overclock Without Once we apply all this in the guide that I have mounted the AVC Samurai Black, Copper and Aluminum) (Pasta Termica Seven Carat Diamond (Diamond)) and have cojido temperatures with a CPU usage downloading files, browsing the Internet, desktop, and after several days without shutting down the computer.

Put it all as he explained, will see some inestablidad system, do some testing micro memory to know what went wrong, testing programs that extrusion component failure raise the voltage a bit, secludes.
