Problem with Motherboard

Hello all good! My problem is:

I have a motherboard k9n2 sli platinum. I recently just bought a pair of 9800gtx + 1gb POV. The problem is that the features of the motherboard says
When using 2 PCI Express x16 slots, PCIe x16 lanes will be configured automatically from x16/x0 to x8/x8.
The question is, which means that exactly? xDD, I am not quite put into this issue and if that does not reduce the performance of the graphics or what it does exactly the plan is not bottleneck. If you could inform me about it or if I recommend another motherboard as you see.
Thank you very much in advance, greetings!

Pushers that if two graphs, one for each pci-e x16 reduce the speed at x8.

But as you just use one do not worry.
