Thread: Scsi Drive Issues

I have a Dell Precision 670 with scsi HDD, earlier one HDD failed and I changed and now again it is showing the message while startup " your hard disc is functioning out of specifications so backup your data and contact dell support" I tried to reformat but still the same message is coming up and after that I have to press any key to start the windows, I wanted to know that what is the problem and how can I resolve this problem.

If this problem can be resolved only with changing the HDD then I prefer to change the scsi HDD with SATA HDD as SATA drives are cheaper than the scsi drive. so in this case I want to know the process step by step to change scsi drive with SATA drive I mean how to install the raid controller and other things.

I recommend you to install a well updated antivirus like AVG that can remove infections such as virus, worms a Trojans as well. And after that scan the entire system. Delete any infections if detected. If the problem still keeps on, then only change the HDD.
