After the Foxconn Blackops a mainboard for overclockers in the last test in the race, sent, we now have a motherboard which is intended more for the mainstream market. Therefore, we want you today to present the new Foxconn P45A-S. This mainboard is equipped with the new P45 chipset from Intel and should therefore be a good basis for overclockers. The board has a Socket 775 bracket and provides enough room to fit here, larger CPU coolers. Foxconn is here again on the Solid Capacitor design for the power supply.

The voltage transformer on the P45A-S can be cooled passively with a very large aluminum heat sink. Stable voltages are realized by the use of digital power conversion. This digital voltage converters have a much higher life expectancy than their analog predecessors. Is sitting next to the 8-pin ATX 12V connector. This can be noted that a power supply that only a 4-pin plug has to be readily used. Whether the effects on the stability of the board, we could find in our OC tests, since we have only worked with a 4-pin power supply. Disadvantages because we could not determine definitively. The board went through all the benchmarks completely stable.

Foxconn P45A-S with the once again shown that it can reach a mainstream board with good overclocking results. The bios is thought through and very easy to use. In many accessories, as was the case when Blackops, was omitted. The P45A-S comes only with what is required. The board gave us proportionate throughout the entire test a solid foundation.
