For sure with latest processors also come with latest motherboard chipsets. For the consumer desktop side of the market you will generally get see two Sandy Bridge related chipsets, H68 for the more generic wine, mainstream and HTPC usage, and then the P67 chipset as a operational part for the latest motherboards series.
