Default Later upgrading central processing unit PC starts but less posts

Hi friends. I have a little doubt. I had a Computer with Pentium D 3.0 functioning on an Msi x48 c platinum board. Then I determined to promote only the central processing unit and I did upgrade with Intel core q9550. After installing q9550, computer started up correctly but it was unable to boot up. Not only booting up but I can not still seen any posts or anything similar to that. The display just stays black whenever I start the Computer.

I am not confirm but did you always tested to verify with the central processing unit or the CPU board manufacturer to familiar whether this quad central processing unit is supportable through this CPU board? Else I would instead advice you to substitute your former CPU again and assure whether all is even functioning well with it. if yes then definitely there might be few problem with your new q9550. And if still the trouble remains the similar with the former one also then definitely the fault could be with the CPU board. Try and assure, let’s see where perfectly the trouble lies.

I tested the suggestion of infroming he BIOS already before. First I positioned the former CPU back then went to inform bios but what arrived to my notice was that I was already running on the last edition. It is because I ever have a habit to assure for the new updates and if there are any, I update it. Anyway after I found that I already have the informed edition I placed the new central processing unit back and for name sake started the computer, as expected nothing functioned.

I have a singular trial and fault trick for you to test out in your computer. Switch each off then turn on just your monitor. Remember you are not supposed to turn on the entire computer. Later turning on the monitor expect for the no signal content which looks on the monitor display. Only note down the time interval it assumed for the no signal message to alter to standby.
