The manual is forever obtainable to be the quick and easiest way to find out what chipset of your motherboard uses. If you have any certification that came with your motherboard it is suggested that you first see the documentation carefully.

If you are screening the chipset of the motherboard and are successively in Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Window XP you can easily locate the chipset information under the 'System devices' group in Device Manager. The chipset of the motherboard will most comparable to ALI, AMD, Intel, NVidia, VIA, or SIS. Though, this information will be seen if the chipset drives are installed in the computer appropriately.

If you are not having any sort of product documentation the next best way of formative the type of chipset the motherboard has is to recognize the type of motherboard installed in the computer. Once the motherboard and model of motherboard has been recognized you can call the motherboard company page for online documentation or a software function to verify with the chipset of the motherboard in the computer.
