Asus has launched their latest Asus Maximus II GENE motherboard to its lineup of ROG (Republic of Gamers) motherboards. The Intel P45 Express Chipset based new Maximus II GENE in mATX form factor promises to deliver constancy, overclockability and flexibility to gamers, case-modders and overclocking enthusiasts. This Asus motherboard is available in the market with three-year warranty.
Asus motherboard also supports the 45nm process Intel Core 2 Extreme/Quad/Dual-core processors with socket-LGA775 and front side bus support upto 1600MHz. This motherboard offers four slots of DIMM supporting up to 16GB DDR2 RAM at 1300/1200/1066/800/667 MHz speeds.
As with the preceding GENE-the ROG Rampage II GENE-the Maximus II GENE it has many features like MemOK!, CPU Level Up, and Supreme X-Fi. Basically, Asus has packed features of full-sided ATX motherboards in to this latest mATX version.
Even if the memory has not been installed properly the system will boot still boot up because of the new technology MemOK so now theirs no risk of memory is being reduced.
ASUS has also introduced the latest technology for a fabulous in-game audio experience, which includes Supreme FX X-Fi solution that promises crisper and realistic in-game sound effects. The motherboard is based specially for the gaming performance enthusiasts can hook up additional graphics card since this mATX as well as the motherboard is ATI CrossFireX ready. The motherboard even offers seven 3.0 GB/s ports and a single port for eSATA and UltraDNA 133 each it offers 12 USB 2.0 ports for using many multiple devices and even Firewire 1394a port to transfer data more quickly. The board also includes full versions of Kaspersky anti-virus and Futuremark 3D Mark 06 Advanced Edition.
