According to Gigabyte, the GA-EP45-UD3P go through an "exact estimation and testing process" before obtaining the Windows 7 compatible logo. According to the company, the documentation ensures that the GA-EP45-UD3P motherboard will deliver the best possible performance of Windows 7 experience. The certification is provided by the Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL)
The Gigabyte specially designed Durable 3 technology -- which uses only 2 % of copper for both - the power as well as the ground layers of the printed circuit board.
