This futuristic motherboard is based on latestLGA 13 66 socket of Intel i7 CPU family. Two features that stand out in this motherboard are DrMOS and APS. Both these features help save power consumption, and at the same time enhance performance. Dr-MOS has integrated Driver IC. Top-MOSFET and Bottom-MOSFET that has three features: GreenPower technology for saving power, XpressCool feature for low operational temperature. and Rapid-Boost for stable over clocking. To control power demand, Eclipse comes with Active Phase Switching for CPU. Memory and Chipset that results in efficient power loading. However, the motherboard does not support Windows 981MB.
Our test setup included Intel's i7 3.20 GHz CPO. 2 GB DDR3 RAM. ATI Radeon 4800 series graphics card and Segate Barracuda 320 GB 7200 rpm HDD. We started with 3D Mark 06 and POV-Ray to check graphical capability of this motherboard along with graphics card, and it scored 13536 and 91846 respectively making it a good buy for garners. Scores for CineBench RIO and Memory latency were 9499 and 74ns respectively again making this board quite efficit'nt. Overall performance measured using PC Mark 05 was excellent with 9354. When we compared this motherboard with Asus P6T Deluxe we didn't find any drastic difference.
