Immediately after two months NVIDIA released their nForce 500 Series mainboard chipset solution, the next generation product that took the best of NFORCE4 which include new features like extra connectivity tunning gadget and untreated gaming performance the NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI series chipset motherboard are specially designed for mid-range and high-end gamers.
That nForce 500 release coincided with AMD's release of Socket AM2 processors. What we already knew back then is that Intel was about to release their Core 2 Duo processors and had a feeling that these "Conroe" based processors would become rather popular.
NVIDIA also released the nForce 500 series for Intel's processors (Core 2 Duo as well).looking at the reference NVIDIA NFORCE 590 SLI motherboard. The tests were done with a reference board that is not 100% complete and unluckily we did not receive a final product from a board partner like ASUS. Nonetheless even with this very beta reference mainboard I was shocked by the combination of Conroe and NFORCE 590 SLI for Intel, in very positive way I must add.
The NVIDIA nForce 500 is improved version over the already popular nForce 4 series. The motherboard has many other cool features like maximum guaranteeing chipset which has best tweak option as well as SLI Memory option and Over clocks as compared to the previous versions of motherboard the TCP/IP acceleration and also option for connecting 6 SATA drives in dual-RAID5.
