Default The new Intel X58 CHipset motherboard

A lovely piece of hardware where all the parts of the computer meet, the motherboard has grown in importance as technology grows more complex and powerful.

A lot of upgrades to the computer in terms of new devices and peripherals have a lot to do with the motherboard, which is why you must always check your new product for compatibility with the motherboard; otherwise it will just gather dust. The last few years have seen some very powerful high-performance boards which contribute greatly to more powerful graphics and imaging as well as memory support. SLI and CrossFire have changed the way motherboards are being made and the new DDR3 standard is another reason for motherboards to continue improving their capabilities. More PCle slots and more RAM channels as well as new ports for eSATA have greatly increased the capabilities and complexities of new motherboards. The next generation of motherboards is' taking hold because of the launch of Intel's new processor the Core i7, the first range to appear from this is the X58 chipset.

The X58 is the impressive successor to Intel's X48 and this chipset has offered a lot of promise already in what it can do. The X48 could support dual x16 PC Ie lanes for CrossFire but the X58 does one better by supporting both SLI and CrossFire, so Nvidia users need not worry about losing out on SLI capabilities on an Intel board again. The X58 boards have great cooling capabilities and this is more than most other boards today. This is a huge bonus because high-end boards today require good cooling solutions to run at their peak. Even if we take that into consideration the X58 boards still exceed expectations. The X58 boards have heat pipe cooling, all-solid capacitors and some of them even have water blocks already installed, which is essential for those people who want to install water cooling kits onto the chipset.

Enthusiasts and power-users will absolutely love the fantastic options available with these boards because it simply provides them with all the tools they need to get the performance that they desire. Some of the X58 boards are shipped with add-on coolers and external overclocking devices and some of them have onboard switches for overclocking. So you don't really have to worry about overclocking these chipsets because it is so easy to do. Performance chipsets and motherboards have always been built in the ATX form factor because they could not compromise on space for performance and this was a major drawback against them. PowerŽusers have always wanted to take their superior machines with them but cannot always do that due to the large form factor of their PCs. X58 Boards are also available in the micro ATX form factor making portability and compactness a factor again.

Gamers can now.carry their micro ATX super machines to LAN parties with more ease and not worry about compromising on performance while other users can enjoy the benefits of a powerful machine that takes up less space in their homes! Even though the micro ATX variants are much smaller you still have provisions for discrete graphics and Multi-GPU setups. To top it all off, micro ATX boards are much cheaper too. However, the drawback is that you have to use fewer components on this board because it is so small. The paradox of a micro ATX board may be lost on some but the properties of this small form factor motherboard cannot be denied. Make sure that you buy a feature-packed X58 board to enjoy the immense power of Core i7 processor.
