    Default BIOS problem with motherboard

I just installed an XP1600+ and it shows up as an Athlon 1050MHz (or similar mismatched speed).

Socket A processors do not contain bus speed recognition pins as Intel processors do, you must physically modify your bus speed in BIOS or by jumper, observe your motherboard guidebook for more details.
