With your motherboard, the only thing I can suggest is purchase more RAM. You are actually limited by the fact it is only DDR1.

Get free of that AMD setup. Intel is the system to go right now! DDR2 maybe DDR3 will be an overwhelming increase in performance.

I previously had a very comparable setup to the one you have at the present. I completely skipped DDR2 Once my older PC started to show its age with not hard performance, I decided its time to change.

Spend some money on a Quad core setup like i7 or Q or QX as well as you will not be dissatisfied. Even the older gen quad cores are still very capable CPUs. If you want to stick with what you have now, get free of those memory sticks and get the 1GB ones.

By the way: My older nF4 DFI LP SLi-Expert was not very rock-hard with 4 GB of RAM. Make sure you have the latest BIOS if you plan on going that route.

It really depends how much you are eager to pay out, as well as if you are eager to have patience to fiddle with usually pretty new technology.

For motherboards, I would suggest some of the Gigabyte UD3 line. For RAM, just depends how fast you want it as well as how much "space" you want to overclock you i7 920.
