I didn’t know where else to go, so I decided to register here and see if anyone can help me out. Here is a brief description of my problem. I recently bought new components to build myself a nice small rig:
CPU: i7
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P
GPU: Gigabyte GV-R485MC-1GH
RAM: 3x2GB Patriot
PSU: Zalman ZM750-HP
HDD: WD 1Tb SATA
OS: 64bit WINDOWS 7 RTM
While installing OS, I kept getting stuck at not being able to complete the install - the PC would reboot on loading back into windows. I tried everything - from reformatting to trying to install XP. No go. Took it to PC shop, and they diagnosed that PSU was causing the reboot, so I sent it off to ZALMAN, who said PSU is good and sent it back to me. I put it back in - same story - PC reboots while trying to load Windows. The problem is that I bought PSU from a different shop, which refused to refund me money or exchange, as they said it's in working order as per ZALMAN RMA results. So I'm now stuck worth of hardware gathering dust in my study. I updated BIOS to the latest Gigabyte version available on their website. Anyone has any ideas on how to proceed?
Thank you in advance.
