Thread: Which motherboard to buy ?

I'm a game freak. So, Please help me figure out a motherboard which has an in-built graphic card equal to or better than the Radeon HD4670. If not, then advice me an affordable Asus motherboard which has 4 RAM slots and supports Core 2 Duo.

Stick to the ATI HD4670. It's a card that's priced sweetly for the performance it delivers. If you are planning to game at a resolution of up to 1280x1024 with high settings, then it fits the bill. However, if you plan to upgrade to a bigger monitor, then we would suggest the Palit GeForce GTS 250 and will take care of all latest games at higher resolutions up to 1920x1080.

Which brings us to the motherboard. We suggest an Intel P43 based board-the Asus P5QL Pro and Asus P5QL are good picks. However, if you are looking for cheaper boards then look for Intel G31 based boards. Keep in mind however, that if you want to upgrade your processor from a Dual Core to a Quad Core sometime in the future, then a P43 board is the minimum that we would recommend. Plus, cheaper boards don't offer high performance in terms of overclocking.
