The Pentium 4 CPU could not even boot at 300FSB, so I utilized my AMD PC. While it is not a big over clocker, it can still reach 300 MHz FSB because of unlocked lower multipliers. This is what the test PC looks like is shown below:
• AMD Athlon 64 3000+
• DFI nForce 4 Ultra-D
• X300SE
• Samsung 120GB SATA
• OCZ Powerstream 520 Watt
• Windows XP x64
A64 has a Winchester center. The fan blowing on memory through tests, as suggested. The memory was checked at 300 MHz with 2.5-4-4-10 and 290 MHz 2.4-3-3-7.
