How to Load Pictures on a Memory Card for a Photo Frame

There are various types of memory cards. The most frequent are Secure Digital, Compact Flash and memory sticks. Every electronic product generally supports only one type of card. If camera and digital photo frame utilize similar type of memory card, you can put in photo card from camera into photo frame. Though, if various types of cards are utilized, you want to change camera's card.

Instructions

1. Step 1

Decide which file type camera uses to save photos. The general type is a JPG or JPEG file. If camera is not saving photos as JPG files, consult the instructions. Most digital cameras are able to storing photos to file type. As a digital photo frame accepts many file types, all will show JPG files.

2. Step 2

Choose types of memory card that digital camera and photo frame accept. This information must be listed in manufacturer's instructions. If these are similar, take out memory card from camera and put in memory card slot on digital photo frame. The pictures must display. If memory card types are different, go to step 3.

3. Step 3

Get memory card readers for kinds of cards utilized in camera and digital photo
frame. These machines are comparatively cheap. You want to obtain a memory card of type needed by photo frame.

4. Step 4

Take out memory card from camera and put it in memory card reader. Connect memory card reader into a USB jack on PC.

5. Step 5

Form an empty directory on PC, and copy files from memory card to directory.

6. Step 6

Take out memory card reader having camera's card from PC. Put in photo frame memory card into its related memory card reader, and connect to USB port on PC.

7. Step 7

Copy files from directory made in step 5 to fresh memory card. Take out card from card reader and put it to photo frame. The photo frame enables to read these files and show them.
