Thread: Computer does not work fast even with 4 GB RAM

My computer configuration is as follows: Intel Core 2 duo E7300, 2.66GHz 4 GB RAM, NVIDIA GEFORCE 9400 GT graphics card. My problem is that my computer does not work fast even with 4 GB RAM. When I copy something or playa game such as Wheelman or any other graphics game, the computer starts hanging. I cannot run multiple programs at the same time. I defragment the hard drive, clean and check for viruses regularly. I have Avira Antivirus installed. I don't have a legal copy of Windows installed, but I will be installing Windows 7 by this month. Please help me out.

Increasing the memory capacity does not confirm a fast performing computer. Factors that affect the computer's performance are the processor type, memory capacity, graphics card and the hard drive speed and capacity. If you need faster gaming performance, you will need to install a discrete graphics card and sufficient memory too. Also check if the system components are overheating as heat can also cause system slowdown and hanging issues.

Finally, keep your system clean from unwanted junk files and temporary files. Use a good junk and registry cleaner (Ccleaner would help) and defragment your computer once a week. A pirated operating system can attract viruses and cause problems too. Ensure that you use a legal copy of Windows to avail support and future updates to prevent computer problems.
