Thread: windows xp default icons restore?

i installed vista mizer (software to make your pc look like vista) 2 weeks ago but because it uses a lot of RAM i uninstalled it yesterday. the uninstallation process was successfull but the vista icons didn't removed. they are now the default windows xp icons. looks like they overwrited the default original xp icons. i want my xp icons back. i tried system restore but it didn't solve the problem. i also tried right click at the desktop properties>desktop>customize desktop>restore default but it didn't worked. i don't know what to do now and how to restore my windows xp icons.can someone pls help me

Other then reinstalling the operating system..I don't think you can..

i had same problem maani had to remove all register keysiwth "vista" in it.

The programme probably did overwrite the default original xp icons, so it looks like your stuck with them, unless you re-install XP. Not worth. Live with it...
