Default Different type of PC Memory

There is mainly two type computer memory. The explosive memory should require refreshing in order to retain it. Static memory which is permanent storage when it keeps information even after the system was shut down. RAM is considered as an explosive memory that can be removed when the system is turn off. There are actually program instructions and date being help in RAM so it can be accessed and save in permanent storage.

The size of RAM is dependent on the OS that you are using. This contains basic computer functions, output display in the screen, disk drive control and other devices. You can choose the computer programs that you want to run. When you actually turn on the computer, the OS is actually loaded to the RAM. This contains program that are used in operations. Programs and data are load to the memory that is left. 2mb is a device that is sufficient for DOS programs. For windows, 4MB to 8MB is necessary.

Apart from the OS that is required, applications would also play important role. More memory is required for real time video and heavy graphics. There are machines sold that is sufficient for general computer. RAM is considered practical because of memory handling, dropping access time and lower cost. For programmers, they require a higher RAM.

In buying static memory, there is requiring buying a computer with hard drive. This is the heart of the computer. You should know how big the storage unit is. 250mb is popular though new PCs are in 500 to 1000MB. Permanent files are not moved but rather copied. If the PC shuts down during working, the programs are saved. Those data lost if you did not save it. For Mac users, there is sufficient of computer memory to run it.
