Thread: HP Motherboard clash

HP mother bad failed double last I replaced it Tech says can't restore to "as I buy it a year ago" as MB is currently dissimilar I have HP factory restore disc Is this correct and how can I get back to "as purchased", Vista Home.

Your HP Restore disk is intended to work with your old motherboard. If the new one is dissimilar, it most likely won't work. You will most expected have to reinstall XP using a retail disc. OR if you can, just borrow a friend's disc.
