The motherboard Asus PT6 Deluxe is designed to accommodate the new Core i7 processors from Intel. The layout and organization of the components on the board is very strict, the heat pipe system that connects critical components to the main board is cooled by a passive heatsink that takes advantage of the airflow from the CPU fan. A very interesting section of the Asus P6T Deluxe is the ability to host up to 3 cards video with three PCI Express x16 slot compatible with both SLI and Crossfire technology.

The Asus main board has two ports for the new SAS hard drives (high speed) while leaving six ports SATA controller for the traditional. Asus P6T Deluxe supports the Express Gate technology that consists of an alternate boot through which you can use Linux without having to turn on Windows. The motherboard can 'hold up to six slots for triple channel DDR3 RAM up to a total of 12 GB, thanks to the new memory controller that is integrated directly into the Core i7 processors from Intel.

The empty space around the processor is significant and this testifies to the fact that Asus P6T Deluxe on the possibility of installing a high-heat sinks is much larger than the standard ones. The BIOS is great, is full of options for over clocking of the CPU, system bus and memory. The over clocking of the system is feasible even with the Asus OC Palm, a small display that connects to the motherboard via USB and can 'undertake specific tasks in real time without having to power down the PC and enter the BIOS.

The performance of the Asus P6T Deluxe does not disappoint at all: the motherboard is capable of working beyond the limits of the standard frequencies without giving signs of instability.
