Thread: PC shuts down unexpectedly?

My computer suddenly shuts down. The crashes apear to have a random timing. My motherboard is MSI K7N2 Delta-L and I have recently installed two new Corsair Value Select RAM modules. Several memory test show no errors at all.I made some changes in BIOS (High Performance) and that is put back to the way it was before (System Defaults)I also installed some new nVidia drivers and they were also removed and replaced by old ones. Operating system Win Xp with SP2 Is there any way to effectively diagnose a PC problem? Thanks for any helpful infoThe system is in fact rebooting.

Perhaps your computer is overheating:You may need to clean all the vents especially the fan vents with an air duster (can of compressed air). It is possible that your fan(s) has failed or is running slow – they might need replacing.For a laptop make sure you operate it on a solid surface so that air can freely circulate around it.For a desktop, switch off, unplug and clean inside as well. Do this outside of the building because you will be surprised how much dust & dirt has accumulated. wdw
