Default Memory reserved for hardware environment helps

I install the x64 win7 home, my processor's hold and I have 4 GB of memory.

I only recognize 3.5 GB of the 4GB that I have, but it tells me I have 4GB I have not come up with any solution that will make me win those mb that I need, I have tried all possible solutions and nothing . at the end discovered through the resource monitor 513 mb these reserves is the computer for hardware environment.

This can be fixed? I can change the mb bone that is reserved for hardware environment and to have the 4GB I have really?

Would have to see the motherboard you have and the chipset used to see if it allows what is recognized as a remapping of memory. If they can, you've had too much luck, because in some cases the 4 GB are used in only 2.5 GB. If you allow memory remapping in the BIOS you should find an option to activate it.

We are your motherboard does not have memory remap on a string. We are not going to be able to use these megas.

I see it have a i865 chipset family. Therefore, no memory remapping worth, so that memory can never be used because these addresses are occupied by the hardware.

I do not understand is that only happens when I put the 4GB, if I just do not reserve anything 3GB memory hardware environment.

The 64 bits are not just for the memory but yourself.

Very simple. With 3 GB is plenty of addresses in virtual memory space of 32 bits to address 3 GB address space for bus PCI. In contrast, with 4 GB installed memory coincides with the top of the virtual address space, so that part of the installed memory runs out of addresses because these addresses are consumed address space reserved for PCI devices.

I went back to xp, I detected the same amount of ram than to win 7 x64, and I do better, at least two games I tested, which basically is what I use separate Internet , and little else.

I think I've lost. Like I say nonsense, but then what can be known in advance based only on the chipset of the motherboard how much memory will be reseved for the hardware if we put the 4 Gb 32-bit system? Because that would be fine hehe if it could be known.

You can not tell with certainty, thus influencing the graphics card and other devices that exist in the system. For example, in the side of my town who has a E8200 and a P43 chipset, with an X1950 XTX graphics with 512 MB were 3.5 GB of addressable memory. In contrast, a 7800 GTX 256 MB and 512 MB 7900 GTX, is reduced to 3.25 GB, just for changing the graph.

Useless to the processor and operating system allow the motherboard then if the bus is limited to 32-bit addresses off without the possibility of remapping.
In the Intel chipsets is permitted in the i955X/i975X and P965, and the following chipsets Midrange / high, not low rate of P31/P41.

Because it occurs in the 32 bit apparently remain at less than 3 GB, just the opposite of what you want.I do not know to what extent it is true or if there is one rule for this.

Always believed that an attempt should be ON regardless of the system 32 or 64 bits. I guess it's a matter of taste for each particular case.
