Well, my problem:

I have a PC that is used by my father who has a motherboard ASUS P2-99 ACPI BIOS Revision 1011 BIOS with the Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG with a Pentium III at 511 Mhz, the hard drive I had was a Maxtor 20 GB but it annoyance and as I have a Seagate Barracuda 80 GB 79200.9'm not using I decided to put it on to not buy another. Everything is connected right from the IDE cable to the socket but I do not detect boot Primary Master which is like this. Travez was to a friend who might not detect it for me is great, says no disc detected over 40 GB, so I said that I should update the BIOS.

I've tried everything from putting HD data as user manually in the BIOS but nothing. I think the ultimate solution is to upgrade but not as is done without hard drive with the OS, you can help me with this issue of updating the BIOS Can someone lend a hand I appreciate in advance.

I've heard that downloading this Seagate Disk Manager and booting from the HD connected could fix it but cannot find in this DM Seagate.
