Hello. The main reason for your system turning off on its own can be the power supply unit or possibly the processor or motherboard chipset heating over its handling temperature. To confirm this. I would recommend that you check the processor fan and the motherboard chipset's heatsink to know if the temperature is too high. If there is dust clogging the processor fan and the chipset heatsink. the temperatures can rise out of control for want of proper air flow for sufficient cooling. Make sure that the fan is spinning properly and ,he heatsink is not clogged with dust. Remove the fans and heatsink and clean ihem thoroughly. Apply a fresh coat of heatsink paste between the processor and fan heatsink and clamp the fan assembly properly on the processor. Make sure there is no play in the processor fan assembly. Now check your system for the same problem. If the problem persists, then you should have the power supply unit inspected. Try changing the PSU and see if the issue continues. If the problem still persists, then you should troubleshoot further. You might need to have your motherboard checked for problems. Also check your system for viruses. Viruses can also be a cause for system reboots and erratic shutdowns.
Thanks for helpi in my previous queries. I have a question regarding one of my frien PC and need your help. He has an Asus motherboard and dual core In processor. The problem is that only one of his stereo speakers, which are connected to the PC, is working. But the volume control switch on the speaker works perfectly fine. He got the speakers checked by an electrician and confirmed that there was absolutely no problem with it and all circuits within were working. Then where is the problem? Is it with the rear audio port? Also, his front speaker port is not functioning. Please help him out. Thanks.
Hello Arjun. Firstly, your friend has to make sure if his speaker set is functioning properly. He will have to connect it to another audio source, such as an MP3 player or a mobile phone, to make sure that both the speakers and the volume control are perfectly working. This will confirm if the problem is with the speakers or the motherboard's sound card section. If the problem is with the motherboard, you will have to repair or replace it, or simply opt for an audio card, which is a cheaper alternative. The front audio ports might not be connected to the motherboard or might not be enabled in the system BIOS settings. Make sure he checks all these factors too. There can be a possibility of the rear audio jack being faulty. Try enabling the front audio jacks and try the speakers there.
