Ooez is one of the most sought-after brands by gamers and enthusiasts for satisfying their desire for nitro-boosted performance and overclocking. We took a shot at overclocking using OCl's 2 GB DDR2-1066 memory kit from the Reaper HPC (heat pipe conduit) family. Let's find out how it compares with standard DDR2-800 memory and how far it can go beyond its rated speed.

FEATURES: The Reaper HPC modules are by far the meanest looking RAM sticks we have come across. The memory modules are enclosed in black color aluminum
heat spreaders. To further facilitate heat dissipation, the modules are each topped with a copper heat pipe which passes though an array of aluminum fins. The modules have a CAS latency of 5 and operate at 2.1 volts.



PERFORMANCE: We noted an improvement of8 percent in the overall system performance when we switched over to oez Reaper HPC from modules of DDR2-800 memory. However, there was a negligible difference in gaming performance.
The memory worked absolutely fine at 1066 M Hz with its timings set to 5-5-5-15. In our overclocking test, the best we could achieve while keeping the timings as tight as possible was 1130 M Hz at 5-5-5-16 and 2.2 volts.

VERDICT: These DDR2-1 066 sticks have the bare minimum specifications you need for decent overclocking. If you can stretch your budget try to look out for memory which has tighter timings (4-4-4-12) and higher frequency (1150 MHz)
