Default Eight gigabyte random access memory and XP 32-bit

I am designing a fresh SB construct with 8Gb random access memory so i was imagining if i set up XP in the meantime early moving onto 7 would there be any danger of harm to the sticks, physically or otherwise? I familiar there is a limitation in XP whereby it will show just 3.25Gb still if you have more set up (i recently have 4Gb).

The complete amount of random access memory xp 32bit will see is Four gb - other addressable particulars, the graphics board being the chief thing but entire your other hardware will too utilize some, depending what you have it is commonly around 200mb. So if you plan to utilize a a graphics board with 2gb of random access memory or 2 1gb cards in sli/crossfire, then you will end up with 1.8gb of system random access memory.
