Thread: Connect another computer to my wireless

Windows XP on PC. Wireless access.

Trying to permit another PC to attach to Wireless. It has Vista. It cannot connect it continues asking for security key. I keep on re-entering it and it continues on asking for it.

The other PC has full signal strength from wireless but continues getting the restricted connectivity message.

Ensure that you are using right security type. I had to attach my daughters wireless as she could not access the router in house she is sharing. None of her roommates knew if they were using WEP, WPA or WPA-2.

Tell the exact model of wireless router, and encryption method that you are using. Note that for WEP, Vista occasionally has problems. Also, do not utilize WEP passphrases, utilize only HEX keys.
