Default The sonicwall global vpn client vista

    Hello,

My IT manager has asked me to look into using the Sonicwall global VPN client for our remote users to attach to head office on their laptops. Ideal solution is that a single logon will log the user into our network.

Our logon has windows domain password and a Novell Netware password that are synced. I can log onto PC using a cached windows profile, attach to VPN and then login the Novell without a problem. But this is requiring 3 logons, and I do not actually want to have to depends on cached windows profiles to get it working.
Preferably I require VPN to initialize before login screen. But I can notice no way of doing this. I have tried startup scripts but cannot get that to work the script works if I simply run it from within windows.
Anybody had any experience with what I am trying to do? Or if it is even possible?

    hi,

On logon screen I identify you tell to logon with a dial up networking connection first. Some of our remote users make use of that to verify with Windows built in VPN client and then it verifies their domain logon. I don't know if that can also be configured with the SonicWall client as well.

For this similar kind of problem but on different platform. At my previous company, I set up their corporate VPN access on a Cisco PIX515E. The firewall was organized to do an Active Directory lookup to verify user to network. I left before the company made moves to have remote user's laptops to be part of the AD domain. The setup also used Cisco's VPN client.
